| Eckhard Kruse - About myself |
My life in one paragraph:
Eckhard Kruse was born in Friedrichshafen, Germany in 1969. He studied Computer Science at the Technical University Braunschweig, Germany, spending also a year abroad in 1993/94 in Pisa, Italy. After receiving his M.S. degree (as 'Diplom-Informatiker') he worked as research assistant in the areas of robotics and computer vision. In 1998 he obtained his Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) for his work in vision-based robot control. After two more years as post-doctoral researcher, he moved to Heidelberg in 2000 to join industrial research. As researcher and project manager he worked in various areas such as robotics, 3D visualisation, Web technologies and Software Engineering. Since 2003 he is a sub-department manager for 'Industrial Software Technologies'.
